Word that reflects a dark, pejorative, negative part of society.
Popular definition: <Prostitution is the practice of having sexual relations with other people in exchange for money or other economic benefits>
Hypocrisy or collective ignorance points its mocking finger towards those who unfortunately have to live-survive, selling their bodies in exchange for money.
But what do you call those people who sell their lives for notoriety?
But what do you call the people who give up their freedom, their virginity in exchange for a supposed security, protection or social acceptance, for example through an arranged marriage or because of the fear of being alone?
As you can see, it is not only the women and men of the night who prostitute themselves.
What is the difference between selling your body (sex) in exchange for money, and selling the most precious thing in life (freedom) in exchange for protection? Money is the root of all kinds of prostitution, whether it is dark and scorned or accepted.
Camouflaged fear or the search for notoriety no matter the price makes people prostitute themselves, by having sexual encounters in exchange for money, or by submissively selling their lives to third parties in search for protection or passive notoriety.
Say no to fears!
